Who I Am
Hi, I’m JD (short for Jay Dee Gresham) — a writer of The Resurgence Chronicles and Echoes of the Forgotten, and an independent author-entrepreneur building my career on my own terms. My work spans fantasy, science fiction, westerns, political thrillers, and more.
What I Write
I’m currently serializing The Resurgence Chronicles on Substack, where readers can follow along chapter by chapter. My stories are character-driven, layered with moral questions, and rooted in the idea that great sagas should earn their scale instead of rushing toward spectacle.

How I Make It Sustainable
Writing full-time is the dream, but it takes strategy. Alongside fiction, I use affiliate marketing (through Wealthy Affiliate) to help fund my writing career. That way I can keep building without depending on ads, publishers, or gatekeepers.
